Replacing a Drive Prior to Failure

This guide is for TrueNAS Cobia

• Attach the new drive to the system
• Navigate to Storage > Pool > Manage Devices > Click on the VDEV containing the disk you want to replace > Select the disk > Select the Replace option > Select the new disk
• Wait for the resilver process to complete
• Run a full scrub of the pool
• Shut down the system
• Remove the old disk
• Start the system again
