Various iOS "good to knows"

CONTACTS:

If a user has their contacts saved within Outlook, there are special steps required to get those contacts to show up on the users device.

If the user is using the actual Outlook App on their iPhone/iPad, their outlook contacts will be sandboxed to that app. Their contacts from outlook will not show in apps other than Outlook.

To get their contacts to be more global, go to settings > Mail (about half way down) > Accounts > add account.

At the end of account setup, it will ask to toggle a few options (mail, notes, calendars, reminders, contacts)

At this point I would turn Mail off (if theyre using the Outlook app) and leave all others on. At this point, the iPhone/iPad will import their calendar and contacts to the Apple apps, and it will no longer be sandboxed.

It is better practice to use the Mail app - especially if they have both an iPhone and iPad.

Think of iOS operating in tiers.
